website indicated that training sod includes synthetic grass when it arrived there was no synthetic grass when I contacted customer service they said to me all porch parties come with standard with a piece of synthetic grass And that my order was for a piece of live sod only however, the description on the website said that the piece of training sod came with synthetic grass so either it’s false advertising or the website purposely mislead consumers after several emails the result was I was not getting synthetic grass and refunds are not allowed. for a small puppy 10 pounds and under this grass lasted under two weeks, Is very expensive customer service not that great website descriptions, purposefully misleading Competitors are much more price conscious, customer service interested in the consumer. Amazing!! We tried the artificial turf for a bit and the dogs weren’t using it. Within an hour of having this live grass out on our porch potty they were using it. Now they wait at the patio door when they need to go during the day!

My wonderful but finicky dogs will not go on fake grass, and are so happy to go on real grass, making life infinitely easier. The grass with spritzing with water or smell quencher can last about 4,weeks before I reorder.

My Mini Schnauzer absolutely loves his Porch Potty with live sod! We live in a Townhome Community where completely fencing in the property is not an option. Therefore, we've placed his Porch Potty in the garage and it's been great. Waiting for the wall protector to come back in stock though.

Turned brown in several areas within a month even though I water it after every use. It also drains much more poorly than the synthetic grass version. I've had to "back flush" the hose several times to get it to drain properly which wasn't needed with the fake grass. Very disappointed in the "pure" grass option and will not order again.

We've had one for years and our previous dog took to it well (particularly when the synthetic "grass" change-over occurred). However, with a new dog we are struggling a bit. We bought enough sod to do two change-overs and the dog isn't keen on it... but we'll keep at it. Anyway, the sod arrived quickly (and in a quasi-moisture proof box) and it has lasted really well (surprisingly so). At 2 weeks it's doing very fine, and I think we'll get a month out of it before we try to make the change back to the synthetic pad.

Got soggy after a few weeks, but it helped to train my stubborn husky to use the porch potty. He uses the artificial grass now.

My puppy wanted nothing to do with the live grass except to eat it and the dirt. He kept pulling up the edges and we had bits of grass and dirt all over our house.

My puppy loves it I tried the turf and she would only pee on it but then I got the live grass and now she goes poop and pee on it I hated taking her to my yard cause she would get lots of fox tails so porch potty is a game changer! Thank you!

I purchased the live sod as a change out from the synthetic while I train a new dog. First the delivery was canceled and then when it did arrive it was full of bugs and mushy like rotten. I had to cut some of it off just to get rid of the smell. Needless to say, no more sod purchases for me. I have loved the porch potty, so convenient but the cost of the products is ridiculous and I am now looking for alternative solutions to avoid the costs.

The quality is really good! It arrived very wet, which I guess makes sense because it is live sod. As someone in an apartment and using this on a balcony, it is a little messier and harder to clean up than the synthetic. Great option, great quality, synthetic is easier for my situation though. Glad I tried it!

The grass arrived quickly and alive and well lasted about 3.5 weeks which is average for my three small dogs using it.

This size I purchased for my CATS. They love laying on it. I keep it indoors for them. I tried the cat grass but I nor my cats liked it for some reason. This they seem to love!!!

Hi, I purchased this versus the 'same' product for cats. I have 2 cats and I prefer this sod to the cats sod. This smells like actual grass that I grew up with. The cat grass smelled funny and my cats didn't like it either. This goes out on my apartment balcony for them and they love it!!!

I been using the live grass porch potty and its a game changer. My senior dog got used to it very quickly, her realized ohh this is a close by potty and not having to go walk every time to use the bathroom. He still gets his walks 2x a day but as he's aged his mobility is slower and shorter distances. during the day this porch potty is very convenient for him especially living in an apartment with a balcony. It's live grass I would recommend NOT watering it since the grass will die with the urine. Watering it created vegetation for bugs, flys and worms. I noticed when I let the grass dry out it doesn't smell as much and drys out the urine faster too. This all depends how consistent you are ordering your grass, my subscription is every 6weeks.

Hi guys! I have to confess that I don't have any dogs. My porch potty is for my two cats. In an apartment so they have no access to a backyard or cat playpen. They love the grass to just lay on and look out the window!! They scratch it and stretch out and roll around on it. It's perfect for them and me.. Lol

Luckily my 16 year old dog will use the live sod. He won’t touch the artificial turf. This has made things so much easier. Only real issue is the grass never comes in the right size. Sometimes it’s a little off sometimes it’s a lot off. Expect to need to trip to fit the tray of the porch potty. If not the edges sit up on top and the grass will discolor quicker. Water often to keep grass from turning yellow. Can easily last a month in Southern California summers

I have two dogs. One of them is severely allergic to the grass. The other one is unaffected. It’s really nice and got my dogs to start using it because of the smell, but my dog has never been so itchy. She is pulling fur out her coat almost daily.

It came rotten and soggy!

Dog would not "go" on the plastic grass when it was in position on the unit, but he would "go" on the plastic grass laying flat on the deck. Same thing happened with sod. So we put the plastic grass on the unit, and laid the sod halfway on the unit and half on the deck, like a little grassy hill and with positive encouragement, dog eventually walked right up and "went". After about a week we took the sod away and now the dog is "going" good on the plastic grass as intended.

Arrived on 12 Sep and setup same day in preparation for a new puppy arrival on the 30th. Has never been used and watered regularly. This photo was taken on the 27th. Disappointed !

The porch potty has been fantastic. We used another system that was a tray and sod and it was stinky and a mess to clean. I ordered porch potty and our dogs kind of revolted and wouldn’t use the synthetic grass. I ordered the sod and they immediately used it. I then laid the synthetic grass on the sod for a few days and they contributed to use it. I then switched back to only sod and voila! Porch potty success. We did think the sod would last longer. Ours only lasted less than week before it looked really bad. So happy to be able to use the synthetic grass now!!

Good product, no dirty mess. Very responsive company able to adapt to order preferences. Poorer product from other distributers, I've stuck with these guys.

The size was wrong and ended up hanging over the edges of the frame. Extra weight caused the frame to warp and damaged it.

It takes a long time to get here and is starting to dry out by the time it arrives. I have noticed cheaper alternatives with faster shipping I may try.

The advertisement looks like a role of grass. It is not. It is a flat piece of grass that is supposed to lay inside a type of box that is for dogs that are not taken out constantly and live inside basicly. The cost is expensive..................

Despite regular waterings, this grass isn't working so great for my dog. It gets brown very quickly and attracts mites. I think I will try one more and will likely have to stop my recurring order. :(

Love porch potty. I moved from a house to a condo and I’m on the 5th floor. I knew I wouldn’t be able to walk the dog daily because of the arthritis in my foot. Not sure how I came across the porch potty. I think it was shark tank. But anyway they have been a life saver for me and my dog. I do get the real grass replaced about every 2-3 months. Because the porch potty sits on the Lanai with a window cracked open the real grass doesn’t carry an order. And it’s easy to clean up and dispose. Thank you Porch Potty.

The first one was awesome ! The last 2 times the sod has been a little old. I will not be purchasing anymore. They did refund me for the first one. But I do love the porch potty !! Could also be that I live in nyc ? Perhaps the mail service does something w it to age it ?

Never recieved it, billed and charged for it and even put on a subscription also billed and charged and waited over a month nothing ever showed up. really dissapointed

Creating a clean, safe, and natural space for your pup to potty is probably the key ingredient to successful house training. Porch potty is a great for city dwellers, for sure, but an even better solution for those who haven’t quite gotten all their puppy shots. I’ve gone so far as to replace the garden bed with Porch Potty’s live sod to create an even larger space for my little guy to sun bathe, play, and potty. Plus, they have great customer service!

Grass started to immediately die. We’ve watered it numerous times and everyday keeps getting more and more dried out.

There was only one of these and it was very mushy and black. I was not able to use it. Very disappointed

Grass was received in need of a drink, which I supplied. Part of it recovered and is a nice green color. Part got some green. I expected that when I got the grass, my French Bulldog, Levi, would immediately begin to use it. Unfortunately, he is very stubborn, but I am determined, and we will see who wins. Hope its me.

My account was paused for about three months. We recently began our auto ship again. The price went up which is life these days. Best is that the quality of the live sod has improved. We are happy about that. The product is costly but really our best option.

No urine would drain through the grass at all, no matter how much water I poured on it, resulting in an overwhelming ammonia smell after just a few days.

The sod arrived saturated and stinky. It made my dogs paws really dirty, and she refused to use it. Even my friends dog who has a porch potty refused to us it. I love the concept, and maybe the artificial sod will work better, but this didn’t work at all.

They grass jostled in the box but was intact and fit nicely into the potty tray. I was wary of the price but a few weeks later and the grass is still alive with a little watering each week so I feel I am getting my money's worth.

Was the incorrect size

The sod is on the expensive side; it works but is pricey.

We put this on top of the artificial turf and it was a great way to get my dogs using the potty as now we’ve taken it away and they are going on the turf.

The original order was fake grass, I thought ( not my best decision ) my pet would like to go on grass because where I live there is only cement but.. . was I ever wrong. Not only was the grass messy, there were little bugs on the grass (which freaked me out ) but to my surprise, my puppy tore the grass sod apart in about ten minutes so I had dirt everywhere including my home, the drain was clogged and her potty area ruined, eeek. I am sure it is a good idea for some but for an over excited 7 pound puppy with LOTS of energy ... oh boy... "Poppy was in heaven for about a minute!!!!!

The dogs wouldn’t use the porch potty with the artificial grass so I purchased the training sod and they took to it like fish to water. After using the sod for 2 weeks, I switched back to the artificial and they are now using it.

My dog immediately went on the Training Sod since the scent and feels is something she was used to, always goes on grass. This sod is much different than the type you would get at local garden centers. Without mud it doesn't close the holes in the plastic tray and allows for draining well. Good job Porch Potty.

This is a great idea for a product but the cost was a little high and the sod died pretty quickly. I'd buy 1 more time to see if I could keep it alive a little longer, but $50 ($40 after discount) every couple of weeks gets expensive.

The porch potty is just as advertised and is perfect except that I am having trouble training my stubborn little pup to use it. She has urinated on it a couple of times and then pooped somewhere near it. I'm hoping she will eventually figure it out and my life will be perfect!

This "real grass" really works for my dog. She adapted to using it very quickly and ALWAYS goes on it to do her job. Thanks guys.

When I first took it out of the box and laid it into the porch potty I was very impressed! Super green, thick, and healthy looking. It also fit like a glove which I was also impressed by. However, it only lasted about a week until it was 80% fully brown and yellow and an eye sore. Definitely not worth the $59+price for such a short life span!

Grass arrived bright green and very healthy.

The sod arrived in good shape and has only flourished since we placed it in the Porch Potty. This is the first time we've used real grass, so I'm excited to see how it fairs over the coming weeks. I'm hoping there will be fewer odors and flies. It's still rather new, so the verdict's still out. But so far so good.

Horrible for so many reasons. 1- doesnt drain properly. the hose system was not well thought out at all and you have to spend yet again more money to purchase the pan to catch it. 2- not elderly dog or short dog friendly as they cannot get in and out of it and surprisingly they do not offer a ramp-dont they want more of my money? I had to buy 3 different ramps before i found one that was short enough to work. 3-canopy was an absolute mess. none of the bolts and screws fit properly, directions are a joke and the canopy is completely unstable due to the bolts and screws not tightening properly. The only thing holding it up is the actual Porch Potty base itself and even then the wind makes it sway- more $ down the drain 4-i made the mistake of ordering the fresh grass- MORE $$.....it came in dead, im talking not a single green blade, and it shipped from socal and i am in norcal- not a shipping issue 5-return policy states you may only return within 7 days of receiving it. It is 100% impossible to tell if your dog will use it within 7 days, and should just say all sales final- This is the most frustrating thing about the entire purchase. Because I wish a million times that I didnt just get scammed out of almost over $600 6- I tried every suggestion in the book and even online forums- my dog will not use it So i laid a $30 piece of fresh sod on the cement in my yard, and thats her new potty. she uses it every time. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this product

We've moved into a small apartment while our new home is being built. So that I don't have go to outside in the middle of the night or very early in the AM to let my little guy do his business, this small Porch Potty fits perfectly in the back of the shower and it's easy to keep it clean and fresh. Just turn the shower on and let it run for a minute. No fuss no muss. I started with grass from a national home improvement store, but there was to much dirt and it was hard to get it to fit easily. We changed to Porch Potty grass and what a great difference. We highly recommend Porch Potty and their grass solutions.

The sod is very nice quality sod. I don't think it is quite worth the price though since you can get sod at home depot for $5. We got it the first time so we wouldn't have to run out to the store when the rest of the porch potty arrived.

The sod did not fit correctly. Did not work for my young puppy. She only wanted to nibble the soil and the grass. This might work for an older dog, but I don’t recommend it for a puppy.

The grass is the only thing that. Is beginning to work for my 2 small dogs. It looks good and survived shipping but smelled heavily of smoke and for almost 2 weeks the dogs would not even stand on it.
